Tanaya Vyas is a visual communication designer, researcher and design educator. She is an alumna of the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad. She is trained as an illustrator and animator in India, The US and the UK. Her professional practice involves graphic communication, design and illustration for publishing and motion graphics, catered to notable clients like the Tata Interactive Systems, HarperCollins, Scholastic and the World Wildlife Fund. She has always been interested in the study of interdisciplinary design
through cross-media installations and narratives, construction-deconstruction of perspectives shaping the interpretation of image-making, human-technology exchange and process of revival across cultures. Tanaya, has been a part of many collaborative hands-on design workshops that focus on visual storytelling techniques. She has also spent time teaching subjects related to visual thinking and graphic communication skills to international students abroad. Her published picture books for children and tactile books for the blind have been exhibited across Helsinki, Singapore, New York and the Herbert Read Gallery, UK.
