Institute of Design Students Win Baby Red Elephant at Kyoorius Young Blood Awards 2025

Ronak Sutariya and Reet Kukreja, students of the Institute of Design, Nirma University, participated in the prestigious Kyoorius Young Blood Awards 2025 and were nominated for the Red Elephant/Baby Red Elephant Awards. Their entries were showcased both on the main stage during the announcement of winners and in a dedicated nominee showcase, giving them valuable exposure and constructive feedback from professionals.

The Kyoorius Young Blood Awards is a distinguished platform that recognizes and nurtures creatives aged 28 and under, providing industry-standard briefs developed in collaboration with leading brands and agencies. This year, Ronak and Reet participated in the brief “Spark the Scene for Ather”, created in partnership with Ather Energy. The challenge was to develop a communication strategy and design intervention that embedded the brand into Indian pop culture by building a youth-led rider collective or aspirational tribe. With over 450+ total entries, only a handful received recognition, and within this specific brief, just four Baby Red Elephants were awarded, making their achievement particularly significant.

Their entry, titled “Ather—Ride Your Vibe!,” earned them the Baby Red Elephant under this brief. Both the main stage showcase and nominee exhibition granted them invaluable exposure, insightful feedback, and engaging discussions with industry peers.

At the awards night, held during Design Yatra, they also had the opportunity to interact with industry leaders, network with professionals, and connect with fellow nominees. While they did not secure the Red Elephant in their category, being awarded the Baby Red Elephant stands as a proud recognition of their creative effort. The overall experience offered meaningful insights, critical reviews, and a valuable platform for learning and professional engagement within the design community.
