The National Service Scheme (NSS) is a Central Sector Scheme formed by the Government of India which provides opportunities and offers community service for the students of higher secondary school and at the institutional level.
The Institute of Design of Nirma University provided the students with the opportunity to get involved in a program that included several skill-based training exercises in the village of Bidada. The 7-day residential camp included cleanliness drives, creating awareness on the importance of water harvesting systems and maintaining water quality, learnings on smart farming techniques and water distribution management as per the requirement to a particular crop and the importance of organic farming.
