Dhavlesh Suthar is an Industrial/Product Designer and educator who approaches design through curiosity, making, and interdisciplinary thinking. With a background in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s in Design from CEPT University, his work explores the relationship between materials, processes, technology, and human experience. Over the past four years, he has been engaged in design education, mentoring students through drawing, model making, product design, design morphology, ergonomics, and hands-on experimentation.
Alongside academia, he has executed residential/ commercial design projects across Interior design, Furniture, exhibitions, and product development, allowing him to engage with design from concept to execution. His academic and professional work also includes modular housing, lighting systems, and interdisciplinary projects such as Project NEST in Norway. He has received the Academic Excellence Award and Distinguished Student Award from CEPT University and was a Gold Winner at the Aara Play Doll Challenge. His interests lie in material exploration, product and hard-core industrial design, emerging technologies, and developing meaningful connections between design education and practice.
