About
Kanupriya Taneja is a communication designer, design educator, and design researcher. She has 18 years of experience as a communication design practitioner and communication design educator. She has spent significant time as a communication designer in the industry and is able to take that experience forward in design education. Furthermore, she has worked with advertising agencies and design houses and media conglomerates of repute that catered to international and national clientele, like Microsoft, Oracle, Airtel, Rajasthan Foundation, UNICEF, and JCPL to name a few. During this period, she received two international awards for her work. She has contributed as a resource person at the NCERT for teachers? training, online course design for in-service professionals, content development for graphic design books, and vetting of textbooks for class XI and class XII published by the NCERT for Heritage Crafts and Graphic Design. She has published many papers in international journals and presented papers at international conferences. Her Ph.D. is in the area of Design Education which is an endeavour to advance current academic practices aimed at enhancing the professional experience of students. She has been involved in content development and editing and gave design and editing support for many books published by Banasthali Institute of Design, Banasthali University. Her work as a mentor for a student?s project has been recognised in an international publication called the ?The Art of Calendar Design?. She has conducted many workshops and has been invited as a guest lecturer at institutes of repute such as the Indian Institute of Crafts and Design, Amity University-Noida, Nirma Institute of Management, NCERT, etc.
