Kanupriya Taneja is a communication designer and design educator. In her 14 years of experience, she has spent significant time studying the demands of the advertising and graphic design industry, and is able to take those learning forward in the design education. She has worked with advertising agencies and design houses which catered to international and national clientele, like Microsoft, Oracle, Airtel, Rajasthan Foundation, UNICEF, JCPL to name a few. During this period, she has received two international awards for her work. She has contributed as a resource person at the NCERT for teachers’ training, online course design for in-service professionals, content development for graphic design book and vetting of text books for class XI and class XII published by the NCERT for Heritage Crafts and Graphic Design. She has been involved in content development and editing and gave design support for 6 books published by Banasthali Institute of Design, Banasthali University. Her work as a mentor for a student’s project has been recognised in an international publication called the “The Art of Calendar Design”. She has conducted workshops and has been invited as a guest lecturer at institutes of repute. She is currently pursuing PhD in the area of graphic design education which is an endeavour to advance current practices aimed at enhancing professional experience of students.
