About
Dr. Krishna Chaitanya Mallampalli is a Designer and Academic Researcher, currently an Assistant Professor at Nirma University in Gujarat, India. He obtained his PhD in Design from the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati in 2022, after completing his M.Tech in Machine Design in 2017 and B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering in 2011 at Acharya Nagarjuna University. Dr. Mallampalli has taught as Assistant Professor at several leading institutions, including VIT Vellore, IIT Guwahati, and NIT Jamshedpur. His academic career includes experience as a Postdoctoral Fellow, strengthening his research skills and expertise. In addition to his academic work, he has four years of industry experience as an Assistant Engineer in manufacturing. Dr. Mallampalli has contributed to academic literature with multiple journal articles and book chapters on design topics. He has published seven papers in major international journals and presented several papers at refereed Scopus-indexed international conferences. He is also a reviewer for several leading international journals. Dr. Mallampalli excels in teaching, research, and communication, making him an effective collaborator and mentor. His interests include ergonomics in design, occupational health, machine design, indigenous knowledge systems, agricultural sustainability, design for disaster management, and human-robot interaction, reflecting a broad approach to design challenges.
