There are specific fields or topics in which the Institute focuses its research efforts and expertise. These areas widely depend on the strengths and interests of the faculty, funding opportunities, and societal needs.
The institute invites industry to work with the multifaceted faculty members and students on live projects. It welcomes the industry to sponsor classroom projects, summer projects, internships as well as final year degree projects.
The Industry Training programmes are two or three-day design workshops and if desired for longer durations. The training is in the form of Design Workshops, Design Labs as well as Design Camps that are special immersive workshops on the design process and design thinking for industry.
