The students of the Industrial Design discipline from the Department of Design went on field trips during the course History of Objects. The course aims to foster an understanding of the correlation between form, function and technology in the creation of objects and devices. It also helps students to comprehend the evolution of technical know-how and the use of technology to improvise. The students understand research on the human impulse for critical thinking to innovate with objects, tools and devices. The students amongst other locations visited Patan in Gujarat. The students visited Rani Ki Vav and also the Patola sari weaving centres.
