Two students of the Institute of Design – Palavi Jain, a Product and Interaction Design student of semester VII and Unmesh Patil, a 2023 graduate student of the same discipline won ‘India’s Best Design Student Award’ 2023 at the ‘Design India Show’ in Pune on October 7, 2023. The award was for their academic work in the Product and Interaction Design Programme. The submitted entries involved four projects by each student that included a variety of projects like a toy design project, design of a consumer electronic product, form study and material handling project, etc. Only 12 students from all over India received this prestigious award from different disciplines.
Initiated by DesignIndia Magazine in 2015, India’s Best Design Awards (IBDA) is India’s one of the most respected design awards, setting the benchmark for excellence across various categories such as product design, communication design, digital design, spatial design, and more.
This is a proud moment for the Institute of Design that two of our students won this award.
