India’s Best Design Student Award 2025

Manav R. Sirwani, a final-year Industrial Design student at Nirma University, was awarded the title of India’s Best Design Student 2025 at the prestigious India’s Best Design Awards (IBDA). Organised by DesignIndia and IndiDesign Global, the award celebrates the next generation of design leaders who are shaping innovation, creativity, and problem-solving for real-world challenges.

His recognition came on the basis of four submitted projects that highlight a strong focus on sustainability, usability, and impact. Arocrack is a breakthrough concept addressing efficiency and strength in design; Curl Metal explores material innovation and aesthetics; Guardiant is an AI-powered IoT security device that reimagines smart surveillance for affordability and accessibility; while AqueDat is a buoy-based underwater monitoring system designed for environmental sustainability and large-scale water ecosystem tracking.

Together, these projects represent a design philosophy centred on creating innovative, meaningful, and scalable solutions. Manav’s work bridges the gap between academic learning and industry relevance, demonstrating how design can improve lives while addressing pressing environmental, technological, and social challenges. This recognition not only marks a milestone in his journey but also sets the tone for his continued contributions to the design ecosystem.
