About the Event:
Twelve Industrial Design students of Semester IV visited the Toy Association of India (TAI) in New Delhi with Prof Sangita Shroff and Prof Ajay Goyal. This visit enriched students with a comprehensive insight into the intricate processes of design, manufacturing, and market dynamics within the toy industry. Students were allowed to visit different industries associated with TAI and they learn about wood, textile, and tin-based toys. They also got a chance to interact with the President and Vice President of the association. Students received invaluable insights and perspectives on the relationship between design innovation and market exigencies. A subsequent visit to the Jhandewalan cycle market offered a panoramic view of toy varieties, thereby broadening the student’s conceptual understanding. This educational undertaking significantly enhanced the student’s comprehension of the multifaceted nature of the toy industry.
