National Cadet Corps (NCC)

National Cadet Corps (NCC) is a voluntary organisation that recruits cadets from high schools, colleges and universities all over India. It is a tri-services organisation, comprising the Army, the Navy and the Air Force, engaged in grooming the youth of the country into disciplined and patriotic citizens. The NCC aims at developing character, comradeship, discipline, a secular outlook, the spirit of adventure and ideals of selfless service amongst young citizens.

The university has both boys and girls NCC units. NCC (Boys) unit is affiliated to 9 Gujarat Battalion and NCC (Girls) unit is affiliated to 1 Gujarat (Girls) Battalion, Ahmedabad Group, NCC Directorate Gujarat, Daman and Diu, Dadra Nagar Haveli. The total authorised strength is 55 boys and 55 girls, respectively. NCC ‘C’ certificate is awarded to students after successful completion of three years of training and examination.
